Networking Event and Panel Discussion hosted by Mentorship Works
When: Tuesday, April 19, 2016, 6:00 pm
Where: Impact Hub Santa Barbara 1117 State Street Santa Barbara, California 93101
Over the last several years, discussion of the seminal book, “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead,” by Sheryl Sandberg, created a vocabulary for women to express their ambitions, and it provided a framework for achieving their goals. While data shows that women entrepreneurs can increase market value and sustainability for companies, the adoption of female leaders has simply not been rapid. Mentorship Works will host an extraordinary panel of guests to discuss why this is the case, and other topics concerning women in business.
- Bernice Ledbetter, Director, Pepperdine Center for Women in Leadership
- Marsha Bailey, Founder and CEO, Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV)
- Paige Kearin, Founder and CEO, The Joy Agency
Mentorship Works is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting mentors and mentees in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties around career growth and entrepreneurship.
